Romanian Journal of Medical and Dental Education (RJMDE) welcomes original scientific contributions in accordance with the journal’s Aim & Scope.

All manuscripts must be written in English and must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

Types of manuscripts

RJMDE considers:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles

Original Research Article Structure

Original research manuscripts should generally contain:

  1. Title
  2. Authors
  3. Affiliations
  4. Corresponding Author
  5. Abstract
  6. Keywords
  7. Introduction
  8. Materials and Methods
  9. Results
  10. Discussion
  11. Conclusions
  12. Acknowledgements, where applicable
  13. Funding Statement
  14. Conflict of Interest Statement
  15. References

Title and authors

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

For each author, provide:

  • full name;
  • institutional affiliation;
  • department/faculty;
  • institution;
  • city and country.

One author must be identified as the Corresponding Author, with a valid email address.

Abstract

Research articles should contain an informative abstract summarizing the objectives, methods, principal results, and conclusions.

The abstract should normally not exceed 250 words.

Keywords

Provide 3–6 keywords in English.

Whenever possible, authors are encouraged to use internationally recognized terminology, including appropriate MeSH terms.

Manuscript preparation

Manuscripts should be submitted in an editable electronic format.

Recommended formatting:

  • Times New Roman;
  • 12-point font;
  • 1.5 line spacing;
  • continuous page numbering;
  • standard margins.

The journal reserves the right to make editorial and formatting changes necessary to ensure consistency of publication.

Figures

Figures should:

  • be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals;
  • be cited in the text;
  • include an explanatory caption;
  • be submitted at sufficient resolution for publication.

Photographic images should preferably have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Tables

Tables should:

  • be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals;
  • be cited in the manuscript;
  • have a concise descriptive title;
  • contain sufficient information to be understood independently of the text.

References

References should be numbered consecutively according to their first appearance in the text, rather than alphabetically.

Citations in the manuscript should be indicated by their corresponding reference number.

Journal titles should use internationally recognized abbreviations where available.

The reference format should follow the principles used for biomedical scientific publications and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
