ABSTRACT

In order to provide insights on the application of 3D technologies in objects conservation and restoration, a state of the art was presented on the use of 3D models in conservation and restoration work. The most common concern is the uncertainty about the suitability of the 3D printing materials. The required prior knowledge, the applicability, ethical considerations, required work and costs, managing and storage of data, and the achieved results are other important points of attention.
