Authorship and Contributors
Authorship should reflect substantial intellectual contribution to the work.
All listed authors should:
- have contributed substantially to the study;
- participate in drafting or critically revising the manuscript;
- approve the final version;
- accept accountability for their contribution.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.
Changes in authorship
Requests to add, remove or reorder authors after submission must be explained and approved by all affected authors.
Ghostwriting and guest authorship
Ghost authorship and honorary/guest authorship are not acceptable.
