Archiving and Digital Preservation

Romanian Journal of Medical and Dental Education Archiving and Digital Preservation

The Romanian Journal of Medical and Dental Education (RJMDE) is committed to preserving the scholarly content published by the journal and ensuring its long-term accessibility.

Online Archive

All published issues and articles are maintained in the electronic archive available through the journal website.

The archive provides access to previously published journal content and is intended to preserve the continuity of the scientific record.

Published articles remain accessible through their corresponding volume and issue pages.

Preservation of Published Content

The Editorial Office and publisher take reasonable measures to protect published content against accidental loss, technical failure, or unauthorized alteration.

Electronic copies of published journal content are maintained separately from the publicly accessible website as part of the journal’s internal backup procedures.

Where technical maintenance or website migration is required, the Editorial Office seeks to preserve:

  • published articles;
  • journal issues and volumes;
  • bibliographic information;
  • article metadata;
  • publication dates;
  • authorship and affiliation information;
  • supplementary materials, where applicable.

Version of Record

Once an article has been formally published, the published version constitutes the Version of Record.

Changes to published articles are not made silently.

Where a correction, retraction, or other post-publication amendment is necessary, it is handled according to the journal’s Corrections and Retractions Policy, while the integrity and traceability of the scientific record are maintained.

Long-Term Accessibility

RJMDE aims to ensure continued access to its published scientific content independently of changes to the technical infrastructure of the journal website.

The journal periodically reviews its archiving and preservation procedures and may adopt additional recognized digital preservation services as part of the continued development of its publishing infrastructure.

Digital Preservation Services

RJMDE does not claim participation in an external digital preservation network unless such participation has been formally implemented and can be verified.

Information regarding any future participation in recognized preservation services will be updated on this page accordingly.
