ABSTRACT
Introduction: This article gives a brief history of dental ceramics and discusses recent research targeted at improving ceramics for clinical usage, evaluating and selecting them, and, most importantly, their clinical performance. It has been discovered that there are strong scientific and collaborative grounds for continuing to study and enhance dental ceramic systems.
