OPTIMIZATION OF TREATMENTS IN IMPLANTOLOGY BASED ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

ABSTRACT

 

Implant dentistry is a specialized field within dentistry that focuses on the placement and restoration of dental implants.The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in implant dentistry has brought about transformative advancements in treatment planning, surgical procedures, and post-operative care. The use of AI in implant dentistry has demonstrated the potential to enhance treatment outcomes, minimize errors, and personalize patient care.

Materials and methods

A comprehensive search was carried out utilizing the databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, MEDLINE, and Embase, using the keywords ,,IMPLANTOLOGY”, ,,ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE”. All the relevant clinical studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses were extracted. Only studies published in English were selected. After a detailed review of the abstracts, the most relevant papers related to our topic were included, and any irrelevant articles were excluded.

Results

The application of AI in implant dentistry can streamline the research process, increase the accuracy of predictions, assist in early detection of complications, and promote patient engagement. Further research and development are needed to unlock the full potential that AI holds in transforming implant dentistry.

1.Automated Implant Planning;

2.Image Analysis and Interpretation;

3.Predictive Modeling;

4.Virtual Surgical Simulation;

5.AI-assisted Robotic Surgery.

Conclusions

The application of AI in implant dentistry holds great promise for improving  accuracy, efficiency, and outcomes in various aspects of the treatment process.
