ABSTRACT
Aim of the study The objective of this review is to evaluate contemporary clinical protocols for the management of emergence profiles and peri-veneer soft tissues. The study aims to highlight the critical necessity of a multidisciplinary approach where periodontal stability serves as the foundation for the long-term success of ceramic veneer therapy. Material and methods The review synthesizes current literature regarding the interaction between restorative design and periodontal biology. Key parameters analyzed include the preservation of biological width, the impact of ceramic micro-topography on cell adhesion, the management of residual cement, the diagnostic significance of the periodontal biotype, and the precise control of the emergence profile and gingival zenith. Conclusions Clinicians must balance patient aesthetic expectations with the biological limits of the periodontal apparatus. By integrating meticulous soft tissue management, standardized polishing protocols, and rigorous long-term monitoring, practitioners can achieve a stable, biocompatible, and high-level aesthetic integration in ceramic veneer therapy.
