ABSTRACT
Aim of the study: To evaluate the critical determinants of success and failure in hybrid prostheses among patients with periodontal disease, synthesizing evidence related to supportive periodontal therapy, implant survival rates, oral health-related quality of life, and advanced prosthetic designs.
Material and methods: A thematic review of contemporary research studies addressing hybrid prostheses in periodontally compromised patients, focusing on outcomes influenced by maintenance protocols, biological factors, and prosthetic innovations.
Results: Findings indicate that supportive periodontal therapy (SPT), implant design, and patient compliance are crucial for long-term success. Advanced materials and CAD/CAM technologies significantly enhance outcomes.
Conclusions: The success of hybrid prostheses relies on an interdisciplinary approach integrating periodontal management, surgical precision, and tailored prosthetic solutions.
