ABSTRACT

The burden of uncontrolled hypertension remains a worldwide issue. Suboptimal adherence is a leading cause of uncontrolled blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Understanding how these factors (including demographic, socioeconomic, concomitant medical-behavioral conditions, therapy-related, patient, healthcare team and system-related factors) are associated with nonadherence is useful in hypertension management
