Abstract

Morpho-functional restoration of the anterior maxillary arch is a critical component of modern restorative dentistry, combining aesthetic demands with functional rehabilitation. The anterior region plays a vital role in facial esthetics, speech, and occlusion, making its restoration particularly complex. Various therapeutic options exist, ranging from direct composite applications to sophisticated indirect ceramic and implant-supported solutions, each selected based on clinical, anatomical, and patient-specific factors. Recent advancements in biomaterials, CAD/CAM technology, 3D printing, and regenerative procedures have significantly enhanced the predictability and longevity of restorations. The integration of digital workflows has improved precision, while emerging bioactive materials and tissue engineering techniques offer promising perspectives for the future. Long-term success remains highly dependent on personalized treatment planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and rigorous maintenance programs. Understanding the anatomical intricacies, functional requirements, and aesthetic considerations is essential to select the optimal restorative strategy. This review aims to systematically analyze current restorative possibilities for the anterior maxillary arch, highlight selection criteria, and discuss future directions in material science and digital dentistry. Ultimately, a comprehensive, patient-centered approach is key to achieving sustainable functional and aesthetic outcomes in the anterior maxillary region.
