ABSTRACT

Aim of the study: to determine the association between excessive internet use and oral and dental health. Material and methods: for a number of 100 randomly selected medical and bioengineer students questionnaires were applied in the period of 2018-2019, regarding internet use correlated to oral health behaviors. The questionnaire method was used. Results: The time of Internet use proportionally affects the quality of life of the evaluated subjects.  72% students of dental medicine and 76% students of general medicine brush their teeth twice or less daily.  Dental fractures were more common in subjects from dental medicine and bioengineering (16%) Conclusions: the Internet can have a beneficial effect on oral hygiene, especially in the case of dental students, precisely because of the easy access to information for educational purposes.
